Federal Firearms License (FFL) Transfer Services
PK Gunsmithing is a certified Type 7 FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer. By federal law, all transfers of registered firearms must be processed and completed through a licensed FFL dealer.
Whether you are purchasing a firearm online, from an out-of-state retailer, or completing a transaction between private individuals, we provide a secure, fully compliant transfer process to legally hand over your firearm.
Our Transfer Fee
- Private Party & Inbound Transfers: $25.00 per firearm
The Private Party Transfer Process
We make transferring a firearm between private parties simple and efficient. Once your transaction is arranged, follow these three steps to complete the legal transfer:
Step 1: Coordinate the Sale & Notify Us
The buyer completes the payment to the seller. Once paid, the buyer must notify PK Gunsmithing via email. Please include the following details about the seller in your email:
- Full Name
- Physical Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
Step 2: Shipment & Processing
Once the firearm arrives safely at our facility, we will personally notify the buyer that it is logged into our system and ready for pickup.
Step 3: Background Check & Pickup
The buyer arrives at our shop to complete the mandatory ATF Form 4473 and federal background check. To finalize the transfer, please ensure you bring:
- A valid, government-issued Photo ID.
- The $25.00 transfer fee.
